If you weren't there, you missed a great meet.

General: In the lobby of the hotel was a brand new MK VI shell on subframes and wheels which was for sale and sold. There was also a model and photo contest with various classes.

In attendance for the entire event were two representatives from Rover/Heritage and one from BMW, to answer any questions about old Mini's or the new Mini. Although, answers about the new Mini were not always forth coming as many things are still a secret. But they were certainly interesting to speak with.

Also in attendance were Keith Dodd from MiniSpares and Mark Nolan from Bank Garage in England. Not to mention of course, Don from MiniMania. 210 people were at the banquet and awards ceremony with the Rover/Heritage/BMW reps givinga history of themselves and the Mini and where the Mini is and going. The keynote speaker was Denise McCluggage who signed autographs later.

Sorry I can't give details about who actually won the events, I didn't record them but hopefully they will be posted elsewhere. A trip to Silverstone was given away which included air, hotel and a Mini for four days. Also given away was a complete power unit. All in all it was a fantastic event. Every event came off on time, even though there was a lot of driving to do to get to the different venues it was well worth it.

My congratulations to The Mini's of the Rockies and everyone else who helped to organize and coordinate Mini's in the Mountains.

The whole VMC gang, and then some.==>20tn.jpg (9630 bytes)
