A big THANK YOU to all who attended the Mini Dragon Event. We managed to Break the previous record of 171.

We had a total of 195 Minis/MINIS in the Mini Dragon Line. Which is now the current Guinness World Record!

A big thanks to Diamond Liu for his efforts to make this happen.

A Lot of us gathered at the Home Depot parking lot, we thought the numbers were low, but when we arrived in Chinatown. We were very mistaken. I had never seen that many Minis taking over the streets!

The dignitaries were in the first group, Classic Minis in the second group, with all other MINIS making up a total 195!

We drove through the streets of Chinatown, heading towards the west end of the Georgia Street Viaduct. East on the Viaduct and turning totally around back onto the Viaduct back to Beatty Street. Right turn back into Chinatown and parking amongst the streets of Chinatown.

Measures were taken to make sure this record breaking attempt was legal for the Guinness people. The Chinatown Merchants Association was more than generous with goodie bags and MINI paraphernalia.

Later that night, both clubs were invited to CHMB Radio Station for a live on-air interview which was attended by Vancouver Mini Club representatives Ed Bulpitt and John Goolevitch, and Vancouver Mini Cooper Club representative Rahoul Ghose.

There are already plans for next year to break 201 Minis!

Dear MINI Owners,
Congratulations to all MINI owners! We successfully broke the World Record of a total of 195 MINI cars participated in a parade through the streets of Vancouver Canada last year. The Guinness World Records LTD. has already sent a certificate to Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association (attached Picture). We have been told that every participant can also buy one from the Guinness World Records LTD.

If anyone of you is interested in having a certificate at home, we can help doing it. Each certificate charges $35CAN including shipping from England. It is very memorable. So don't miss it!
