Malcolm & Geraldine, Martin, Elaine & I in our Classic Minis, and met by VMC member Warwick in an Alfa Romeo, headed for the West Coast Railway Assoc. Museum in Squamish on September 14th.
It was the association's 1st Mini Days and we parked at the entrance to display the Minis. The weather was fantastic, the museum's collections extensive and our ride on a miniature steam engine - real smoke, real steam - just plain fun.
They had 4 miniature trains running for visitors, a hand car and scooter too. Off track a miniature steam tractor was on the prowl all day.
We were only in Squamish for the day 10-4 p.m. however, Warwick was going to display his Mini and the Alfa on Sunday the 15th.
Next year, this would be a good run for more club members as the museum has more to see and soak up than can be done in 6 hours.
